Dundee beat Cologne 8-1 in this European Cup tie at Dens, it would have sent shock waves all over Europe. Dundee's goals were scored by Hemmerbach (og), Bobby Wishart, Hugh Robertson, Alan Gilzean (3), Gordon Smith and Andy Penman. 25,000 lucky fans saw this game. Dundee would go all the way to the Semi-Finals where sadly they lost to AC Milan.
