Dundee lost this game 4-2 to a very good Ayr United side got revenge from the League Cup Semi Final defeat at Dens in November. Brian Scrimgeour and Eric Sinclair scored for Dundee in front of 4,724 fans inside Dens Park.

Dundee v Clydebank, 1st November 1980

Dundee beat Clydebank 2-1 at Dens, thanks to goals from Cammy Fraser and Ray Stephen. A crowd of 4,700 watched the action.

Dundee v Motherwell, 8th November 1980

Dundee beat Motherwell 2-1 at Dens in front of a 5,112 fans at Dens Park. Two penalties for the dark blues scored by Jim Shirra and Iain Ferguson.

Kilmarnock v Dundee, 3rd December 1977

Dundee lost 1-0 at Rugby Park in front of 4,500 fans. It was a good season league wise and Dundee missed out on promotion on the last day of the season . Some big crowds watched the first division that season.

Aberdeen v Dundee, 29th October 1980

A great night for Dundee Fc as they knocked out League Champions Aberdeen winning 1-0 on the night thanks to a late Cammy Fraser goal, they fully deserved it on the night. I find it interesting that Dons Manager Alex Ferguson did not even mention Dundee or welcome Donald MacKay and his team to Pittordrie for the game. They paid for maybe treating Dundee and this  1/4 tie lightly. A crowd of 14,060 saw the League Cup action.

Walsall v Dundee, 3rd of August 1970

Dundee lost 2-0 to host Walsall in this friendly. A crowd of 2,500 turned up at Fellows Park to see the action.

Plymouth Argyle v Dundee, 17th February 1967

Dundee lost this friendly 3-2, Jim McLean and Billy Campbell scored for the Dark Blues. A crowd of 6,325 were inside Home Park to see the action.
